PATH International Codes and Standards Workshop - Agenda and Registration Now Available!



Is mass commercialization of hydrogen a high priority in your country? Are safety and regulatory issues barriers preventing mass commercialization from happening? Is the public's perception of hydrogen that it is an unsafe energy carrier?

Come to an important International Hydrogen Safety Codes and Standards Workshop and learn the truth about hydrogen technology as it pertains to safety and compliance with regulatory codes and standards! The Workshop is being hosted by the Partnership for Advancing the Transition to Hydrogen (PATH), www.HPATH.org, and will be held in conjunction with the World Hydrogen Technologies Convention in New Delhi, India on Saturday, 29 August 2009 from 9:00 am - 1:30 pm. It is being sponsored by the U.S. Department of Energy.

The Workshop Program and printable registration form are now available on PATH's website at www.HPATH.org. Participation in the Workshop is open to the public but requires a separate registration from WHTC. Forms may be completed and faxed to the PATH office in Washington, DC, USA at 1-202-223-5537, emailed Brian Schorr at bschorr@ttcorp.com or you may print the form and bring it with you to New Delhi and register onsite. Registration for members of PATH Associations (complete list on PATH's homepage) is $50/Rs.2400 and is $55/Rs.2640 for all other registrants.

Participants will learn about success stories and lessons learned on hydrogen facilities siting and demonstration projects and explore synergistic opportunities in codes, standards and regulations development in India and surrounding countries. Participants will also have a chance to share the challenges they face in their home countries in the development and passing of codes and standards. Presentations and discussions will be held in English.

Information presented during the Workshop will be done in the context of the status of international hydrogen codes, standards and regulations and will be useful to all countries at an early stage of developing hydrogen safety requirements. Therefore, anyone interested in understanding the challenges faced in India and other countries at an early stage of developing hydrogen requirements and learning more about the successes from other countries is encouraged to attend.
