Woodgate to Head Davis-Standard's Extrusion Business in Europe
(Pawcatuck, Conn.)--Mark Woodgate was recently promoted to Business Director, Extrusion Systems Europe for Davis-Standard, LLC. In his new post, Woodgate will oversee the sales and marketing for both the D-S Brookes and Davis-Standard pipe and profile product lines throughout Europe, the Middle East and parts of Asia. Woodgate will also lead the European extrusion sales team, which includes the equipment sales team, aftermarket sales team and technical team. Woodgate has been with Davis-Standard for more than 12 years, working in various management and sales capacities within the company's European operations. He also served as Director of Betol Machinery before it was acquired by Davis-Standard. Woodgate has a master's degree from Kingston University.
Woodgate's recent promotion is especially significant as Davis-Standard has relocated its pipe and profile business from its facility in Erkrath, Germany to Birmingham, UK. The move will re-focus extrusion operations to better serve customers in the region.
