Wonderware Appoints Rick Bullotta Vice President and Chief Technical Officer

LAKE FOREST, Calif., Aug. 20, 2007 -- Wonderware, a business unit of Invensys, today announced that industry veteran and innovator Rick Bullotta has been appointed vice president and chief technology officer of Wonderware. Bullotta will report to Mike Bradley Sr., president of Wonderware.

"Wonderware's customers in industrial information and automation, operations management and manufacturing IT are increasingly seeking advanced software solutions that significantly improve the efficiency, performance and agility of their operations with rock-solid ROI," Bradley said. "Rick has been very successful in conceptualizing and implementing advanced software technology within SAP and Lighthammer, and I know that he is looking forward to the challenge of leveraging the significant opportunities which have been created at Wonderware and directing future technology and software strategies."

Bullotta was previously a vice president with SAP in Exton, Penn., and was responsible for research activities in the "future manufacturing" area and coordinated product management of SAP xApp Manufacturing Integration and Intelligence (xMII). He also represented SAP on various industry standards organizations including ISA-95, the Manufacturing Interoperability Guideline Working Group and OPC. Bullotta was the co-founder and chief technology officer of Lighthammer Software Development Corp. He was responsible for Lighthammer's conceptualization, development and marketing of innovative Web-based software products targeted at the manufacturing industry. At Lighthammer, Bullotta identified and created a new market segment for "manufacturing intelligence" software products, and established Lighthammer's leadership position in this segment. Lighthammer was acquired by SAP in July 2005.

He also has been involved in the manufacturing sector in diverse roles, including systems integration, plant operations and management, sales and marketing, product management and industrial engineering. Bullotta previously worked with Wonderware in a variety of roles from 1993 through 1997. He holds a bachelor of science degree in operations research and industrial engineering from Cornell University in New York.

"It is a rare and special opportunity to be able to leverage an organization with the depth, customer base and market presence of Wonderware as a platform for achieving breakthrough innovations during this very exciting time in the manufacturing software industry," Bullotta said "A tectonic shift is underway in the market and we will be assembling the team and the solutions to capitalize on this next generation of technology solutions for the industrial sector. I am delighted and excited to be part of the Wonderware organization at this important time in its history."
