WSR601 Chip to be demonstrated at Intel Developer Forum (IDF)

Wisair, a leading provider of Ultra Wideband (UWB) and Wireless USB (WUSB) chipset solutions, today announced that its WSR601 single chip has successfully passed the WiMedia PHY compliance and interoperability tests and has been designated as a registered PHY in the WiMedia® integrators list.

WiMedia is the de-facto Common Radio Platform for Ultra Wideband (UWB) wireless communications and has also been adopted by ECMA as the EC-368 standard. WiMedia UWB has been selected by the Bluetooth SIG and the USB Implementers Forum as the foundation radio of their high-speed wireless specifications for use in next-generation consumer electronics, mobile and computer applications.

Wisair will be demonstrating the WSR601 chip at the Certified Wireless USB community, at IDF San Francisco, September 18-20.
