BERLIN, MUNICH and GRASBRUNN, Germany, August 10/ -- Wirecard AG has found in UK- teleshopper Vector Direct Ltd. UK a new customer for its payment services. In addition, the contract also covers credit-card acceptance via Wirecard Bank AG.
Vector advertises its products in infomercials or TV ads showing their service hotline number which are broadcast by their own TV channels as well as by British TV channels. The customer can then order via telephone or in Vector's own e-shop.
The technologically ambitious project was realized in close cooperation with Wirecard AG and dsb AG. Vector has now outsourced its entire IT for the operative processes and mail order to the Neckarsulm-based technology company.
"What clinched our decision was Wirecard AG's extensive experience in the field of TV shopping," says Martin Purcell, Managing Director of Vector Direct Ltd. UK. He continues: "Shifting from several partners to a single provider also allows us to shorten processing routes and adopt real-time handling."
Gerd Lorenz, head of Mail Order at dsb AG, observes: "Thanks to the close cooperation of both technology providers, integration was completed successfully without any glitches. The challenge was to combine various different IT systems and multiple sales channels. What makes Wirecard's solution special is the possibility of reconciling financial data.This allows the correlation of order and payment data to be automated."
