In addition to the regular committee meetings, the 2014 Winter Meeting also featured presentations addressing 3 important current business issues: Benchmarking, Conflict Minerals, and Big Data. According to post-meeting evaluation, 100% of attendees said meeting met or exceeded their expectations. Big Data, Conflict Minerals and Benchmarking Highlight BSA 2014 Winter Meeting



Glen Ellyn, IL—  100% of attendees at the Bearing Specialists Association (BSA) 2014 Winter Meeting in Tampa, Florida, said the meeting met or exceeded their expectations.  Although all attendees pursued full agendas in the BSA committees, many rate the opportunity to meet and network with others in the industry as a top priority for attending. 



In addition to the regular committee meetings, the 2014 Winter Meeting also featured additional presentations addressing three important current business issues:  Benchmarking, Conflict Minerals, and Big Data.



• BENCHMARKING: President of Profit Planning Group Dr. Albert Bates’ lunch presentation reviewed how BSA members can use the BSA Performance Analysis Report to benchmark their companies and increase profitability.



• CONFLICT MINERALS: Joel Pekay, Sales and Marketing Director of Intertek Chemicals and Pharmaceuticals, addressed a positive approach to Conflict Minerals compliance.



• BIG DATA: The Information Technology and Supply Chain Committee meeting featured a presentation by Paul Buchanan, Founder and President of BUCS Analytics



The positive meeting review came from 100% of those responding to the post-meeting evaluation. The compact Winter Meeting schedule and relaxed atmosphere enhanced networking opportunities.
