Peter Knowles, President, HIRSCHMANN Engineering USA, Inc., Elgin, Illinois, announces that William (Bill) Boehmert has joined HIRSCHMANN Engineering as a Regional Sales Manager. In his new position, Bill is responsible for selling and servicing the entire HIRSCHMANN product line in the Midwest region of the United States, which includes the states of Illinois, Wisconsin, Minnesota, Iowa, Missouri, Nebraska, North Dakota and South Dakota.
Bill was most recently employed by Charmilles Technologies. With 21 years of related experience, he was a product manager involved in marketing functions since 1992. At Charmilles he worked on special markets, automation and high-end projects. Bill started as a service engineer, moved up to advanced technology support before his last position as product manager at Charmilles.
A graduate of DeVry Institute, Lombard, IL with a B.S. in Electronic Engineering technology, he is also a graduate of Roosevelt University, Schaumburg, IL where he earned a MS in Integrated Marketing Communications. With his formal education and on- the- job training Bill is ready to assist both current and future customers in his territory.
A resident of Island Lake, IL where he lives with his wife and two children, Bill is involved in the community coaching youth football.
In his position, Bill is responsible for selling the complete HIRSCHMANN product line that includes its own integrated robotic EROBOT Series and a complete line of high precision tooling to support EDM and CNC machining, as well as integrated rotary tables for Wire and RAM EDMs. HIRSCHMANN is a licensed integrator of FANUC Robotics and offers their own Master Control CMS software for automation, which Boehmert will also sell and service. In addition Boehmert will sell Oel-Held fluids that are exclusively imported by HIRSCHMANN and include Ionoplus"¥ synthetic dielectric fluid and SintoGrind"¥ TTS high-speed synthetic grinding fluid.
