We recently added a computer animated simulation to our web site that illustrates how we using flowforming to shape a part.
Flowforming is a cold forming process used to manufacture cylinders, cones, and contoured, thin-walled parts. It works on a variety of metals, including tantalum, titanium, stainless steel, aluminum, copper, inconel and many more.
Many industries rely on flowformed parts, including aerospace, military, food service, filtration, micro-electronics, and automotive. Flowforming continues to make inroads into new applications, such as the manufacturing of products for alternative energy.
