Westinghouse and GE Qualifies Macro Sensors As Approved Source for Position Sensors in Steam Turbines
Pennsauken, NJ, June 6, 2007...Macro Sensors, (www.macrosensors.com), a sensor company specializing in the manufacture of LVDT-based linear position sensors and gaging probes, is an approved vendor for LVDT (Linear Variable Differential Transducers) position sensors used on Westinghouse steam turbines and for LVRT (Linear Variable Reluctance Transformer) position sensors used on General Electric's steam turbines. Siemens-Westinghouse and GE implement the LVDTs and LVRTs, respectively, for position measurement on governor valves, throttle valves, reheat/stop valves, interceptor valves, and many other control valves.
