West Fraser Completes Acquisition of U.S. Lumber Business


VANCOUVER, March 31 -- West Fraser Timber Co. Ltd. (TSX: WFT) announced today that, further to its news releases of November 29, 2006 and January 4, 2007, it has completed its acquisition of 13 sawmills located in the southern United States from International Paper Company (NYSE: IP). The business will be operated by a wholly-owned U.S. subsidiary of West Fraser.
