FARMINGTON HILLS, Mich., May 17 - Attendance on Demand, Inc. web-hosted employee time and attendance service has been selected by the North Carolina Aquarium Society (Raleigh, NC) to monitor and track employee time and attendance from any computer with Internet access. Attendance on Demand distributor Labor Strategy of Greensboro, North Carolina manages the installation.
The North Carolina Aquarium Society tracks employee time and attendance data for its full- and part-time gift shop employees located in three Aquarium facilities: Pine Knoll Shores; Roanoke Island; and Fort Fisher, North Carolina. Attendance on Demand monitors employee start/end time, pay rates, scheduling, and attendance over a highly secure internet connection, instantly exporting data into corporate payroll.
"In the past, our employees used a manual punch clock with paper time cards. Their pay period totals were then compiled at each location, and faxed to the main office. This was a time-consuming procedure each pay period," notes Ruth Vincent, Director of Retail Operations, North Carolina Aquarium. "Now, instead of handling time cards or hand-written schedules, we just log online. This way, we know in an instant staffing levels, attendance patterns and pay period totals. This greatly streamlines our administrative processes."
Employees enter start/end times directly over the web via PCs located at the three stores across the state. Attendance on Demand is available on a subscription basis - speeding implementation, minimizing the expenses and risks. Since implementing the on-line time tracking system, the non-profit organization has benefited from better control of labor costs and increased pay period accuracy.
