Waukesha® Metal Products-AS9100-B Certified
Waukesha® Metal Products receives an AS9100: Rev B 2004 quality certification. This version of AS9100 includes the ISO9001 standard and adds supplementary requirements that apply to the aerospace, aviation, and defense industries.
Sussex, WI June 28, 2010--Waukesha® Metal Products was awarded the AS9100: Rev B 2004 quality certification by the NSF in April 2010. This will add to the Quality Management System's quality standards such as: ISO 9001:2008, TS 16949:2009, and ISO 14001:2004.
The AS9100 audit was conducted by the NSF at Waukesha® Metal Product's tooling & stamping facility in Sussex, Wisconsin on March 31 and completed successfully on April 2, 2010. With this addition to Waukesha® Metal Product's quality management capabilities, it provides improved quality and cost efficiency throughout this aerospace supply chain.
Obtaining the AS9100: Rev B 2004 was essential to Waukesha® Metal Products in order to better serve the aerospace, aviation, and defense industries, which accounts for roughly 5% of sales. These markets produce safety critical products, and Waukesha® Metal Products recognizes the crucial role quality plays in their manufacturing process.
