Autodesk Seek Provides New Online Marketing Opportunity for Watts, Allowing its Products to be Searched For and Specified Early in the Building Design Process

North Andover, MA, August 25, 2009 - Watts is pleased to announce that it is making its product line available through the Autodesk Seek web service, which will allow design professionals to search for and access the company's data-rich, high-quality building product information and design files directly from AutoCAD and the Revit desktop design applications. With the addition of Watts product information to Autodesk Seek, building design and construction professionals practicing the BIM process will be able to more easily discover and select Watts products earlier in their design projects.

Autodesk Seek (http://seek.autodesk.com) allows design professionals to search specifically for the building product design files they need-in the form of 3D models, 2D drawings, visual images, and part and product specification data. The service includes access to existing content from Autodesk applications and building product manufacturers into a single, unified search experience.

Watts has developed high-quality, digital design files for its building products and will make them available through the Autodesk Seek web-service, making it easier for designers to specify the company's backflow preventers, carriers, roof drains, water pressure reducing valves, OneFlow anti-scale systems and tempering valves in the design phase of a building project. This will allow the company's products to become more easily connected to the building information modeling (BIM) process, which is built on coordinated, reliable and data-rich information about a project from design through to construction.

"Watts is excited to announce the addition of our products into the Autodesk Seek web service. With the addition of Watts' product information to Autodesk Seek, building design and construction professionals practicing the BIM process will be able to easily discover and select Watts' products earlier in the design process. By having our content integrated with the leading design programs, Watts will continue to be the leader in the marketplace." said Taylor Grist, National Specification Manager. Founded in 1874, Watts, A Watts Water Technologies Company, is one of the world's largest independent valve companies with 11 factories in the United States and Canada. Watts designs, manufactures, and sells an extensive line of flow control products for the water quality, residential plumbing and heating, commercial and OEM markets.
