Wainbee Limited Purchases Cowichan Hydraulic Equipment Service & Supply Ltd.
Effective July 31 2013, Cowichan Hydraulic Equipment Service and Supply Ltd was acquired by Wainbee Limited, a national leader in the distribution of fluid power and automation components and systems. As a result of this acquisition, Wainbee now has 15 locations coast-to-coast servicing customers from Vancouver Island to Halifax.Â
“Wainbee opened its first location in British Columbia in the early 1970’s and today serves much of the province from facilities in Prince George and Vancouver.” says Wainbee President Ron Rodger. “The purchase of Cowichan extends our strong presence in BC to cover the Vancouver Island region as well as expanding our existing business in the marine, mining and forestry markets.
“Wainbee’s existing line up of hydraulic, pneumatic, industrial tool, electromechanical and filtration products and services complement Cowichan’s very well,” continued Mr. Rodger. “Our goal is to continue to provide the high level of customer service and product expertise that Cowichan customers have come to expect while adding additional products and services through Wainbee.”Â
