Press release date: April 1, 2012

GERMANTOWN, WI - WAGO Corporation's 756 Series M12 Socket Ethernet Adapter simplifies the integration of machine-mount IP67 components with IP20 controls. Providing tool-free terminations, WAGO's D-Coded M12 Adapter features a traditional cable-based RJ45 Ethernet socket that routes data through a screw-locking M12 connector. A panel-mount design and availability in right-angle (756-9503) and straight (756-9504) variants eases integration into existing systems.

The 756 Series M12 Ethernet Adapters provide Class D (up to 100 MHz) transmission performance. To support data transmission to/from components in harsh environments, the adapters are 360° shielded to Category 5 standards.

Network-based configuration replaces proprietary handheld configuration units and requisite training to streamline machine-building and control applications for industries such as packaging, food/beverage and pharmaceutical. 750-675 also economizes device maintenance, minimizing service for difficult-to-access applications, e.g., roof-mounted level control devices atop silos. The I/O-Link Module bolsters application reliability via vibration-proof and maintenance-free CAGE CLAMP® Spring Pressure Connection Technology. Approvals: CE Conformity, UL/cUL (UL 508) and Electromagnetic Immunity (EN 61000-6-2).

"Process customers are increasingly adopting IP67 systems and need a way to cost-effectively interface new machine-mount controls with existing architecture and MES systems," explains Charlie Norz, Product Manager - WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM. "The adapter supports this flexibility for access to the latest Ethernet-based IP20 controls and rapidly evolving IP67 systems, such as WAGO's SPEEDWAY 767."

About SPEEDWAY 767:
WAGO's machine-mount SPEEDWAY 767-I/O-SYSTEM takes controls out of the cabinet and directly to applications via rugged controllers and modules. New-for-2012 firmware enables SPEEDWAY to process up to 1,000 instructions within 150µs (microseconds). Three all-new, 8-channel digital I/O modules (DIO) and a unique controller enable SPEEDWAY 767 to match the performance of an IP20 system while retaining the IP67 hallmarks of strength and modularity.

WAGO is the leader in spring pressure connection technology that eliminates loose wires resulting from vibration and temperature cycling, while providing highly reliable, corrosion-resistant and maintenance-free connections. Products: DIN-rail, PCB and chassis mount terminal blocks; signal conditioners; the WAGO-I/O-SYSTEM and more.
