W.A.C. Lighting Introduces New Transformers Catalog
GARDEN CITY, NEW YORK --- W.A.C. Lighting has introduced a new color catalog featuring the firm's selection of Low Voltage Transformers, including a range of Electronic Transformers that are the very first models to comply with UL 2108. W.A.C. Lighting is a leading designer and manufacturer of track, recessed, undercabinet, decorative and monorail lighting.
The catalog offers electronic and magnetic transformers ranging from 60 watts to 1000 watts. Standard electronic transformers feature auto reset, soft start and short circuit protection technologies. The unique soft start feature gradually applies voltage on cold starts to extend lamp life.
W.A.C. Lighting's latest introductions feature three additional models of Class II transformers, bringing much-needed higher-wattage Class II units to the marketplace. These models, which are exclusive to W.A.C.
Lighting, provide a single source to wire multiple runs of low voltage undercabinet and display fixtures.
All electronic transformers are UL 2108-compliant, featuring enclosed and non-enclosed electronics that range from 60 to 300 watts. Magnetic transformers, complying with UL 2108, are engineered with magnetics ranging from 300 to 1,000 watts. The new UL 2108 standard, devoted specifically to low voltage lighting systems, is more specific and restrictive than previous standards. It requires short circuit and abnormal short circuit protection within the transformers for open bus systems, such as W.A.C. Lighting's Low Voltage Monorail System and Quick Connect lighting systems.
The catalog includes images, dimensions and complete specifications of each of the transformers.
