Vulcan Electric Company Names J. Michael Sapienti as Group VP
PORTER, Maine, Aug. 11, 2006 -- Vulcan Electric Company has
named J. Michael Sapienti as Group Vice President of Sales
and Marketing. In his new role Sapienti will oversee
worldwide sales, marketing and customer service for the
flexible circuit and thermal products group.
Sapienti has over 25 years of professional sales and
marketing experience in a broad range of industries ranging
from telecommunications, mainframes and servers to
electronic platforms, such as printed circuit boards,
back-plane assemblies, and box builds. He also has extensive
experience in the manufacturing of these products, and
relationships with key Fortune 100 companies and tier-one
contract manufacturers.
Sapienti has held senior sales management positions at
companies such as IBM, Parlex Corporation, and most recently
as Director of Sales and Marketing for Teledyne Corporation.

Sapienti holds bachelor's degrees in marketing and economics
from Merrimack College in N. Andover, MA. He has extensive
experience in Europe, Canada and Southeast Asia, including
selling products and services into emerging markets over the
span of his 25-year career.
Sapienti's predecessor in this role, Normand Sirois, has
been named Group Vice President of Engineering and Quality.
Vulcan Electric Company designs and manufactures flexible
and rigid-flex circuits and thermal products, including
electric heaters, temperature controls, temperature sensors
and calibration services to the defense, aerospace,
semiconductor, medical and commercial markets.
