Vision Research Offers Refurbished and Upgraded Phantom HD Cameras

Discounted and Refurbished Phantom HD Cameras Will Be Offered on First Come First Served Basis

WAYNE, N.J. - Vision Research, a leading manufacturer of digital high-speed imaging systems, proudly announces the availability of a limited supply of factory reconditioned Phantom® HD cameras. Following the aggressive technology protection program that was introduced with the unveiling of the Phantom Flex, a number of Phantom HD cameras have been traded in and have each been subjected to a comprehensive overhaul by Vision Research's team of engineers . The cameras will be available for a limited time and offered at a significantly discounted rate.

"Without question, Vision Research's unique technology protection program was an incentive for upgrading to a Phantom Flex; however, it was also an opportunity in disguise for those looking to invest in a Phantom digital high-speed camera," said Jay Stepleton, Business Unit Vice President and General Manager, Vision Research. "These users can now experience the exceptional quality of the Phantom HD, at an even higher level of performance, at a substantial cost savings. This is an opportunity that absolutely will not last."

All Phantom HD cameras received via the technology protection program have been upgraded to reflect the advanced capabilities of the renowned Phantom HD GOLD, including a digital cinema-optimized CMOS imaging sensor, state of the-art hardware, and new firmware and software. While the newly refurbished camera will boast the same impressive features as the Phantom HD GOLD, prices will be reduced by as much as 25% off new camera pricing. All factory refurbished cameras will come with a one year warranty.

Not only is the Phantom HD one of the most widely-recognized and acclaimed cameras in the industry, it has created a new standard in the world of video production, with its ability to capture stunning slow-motion images at speeds over 1,000 frames-per-second in full high-definition. Supporting both a video and raw digital workflow, the Phantom HD has become the de-facto solution for slow-motion effects in high-visibility productions, commercials, music videos and award-winning blockbuster movies. With 150 cameras in use world-wide by top professionals in entertainment, sports, digital cinema and television production, the Phantom HD remains an industry favorite.
