Devices Optimized for Energy Meter, Alternate Energy Supply, and Automotive Applications
MALVERN, Pa. - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that it will be showcasing the company's latest industry-leading capacitors, inductors, resistors, diodes/rectifiers, power MOSFETs, and optoelectronics at Electronics For You (EFY) Expo 2012, taking place Feb. 16-18 at Pragati Maidan in New Delhi. At booth E13 (Hall 11), Vishay will demonstrate how the company's latest technologies are optimized for one- and three-phase energy meters with automatic meter reading (AMR) capabilities; solar and wind energy supplies; and two- and four-wheeler automotive applications.
From the leading publication serving South Asia's electronics industry, Electronics For You, EFY Expo is the first electronics event of its kind. With the sole aim of accelerating the growth of the electronics industry in India, the expo focuses not only on components and manufacturing equipment, but on the entire eco-system. Expo exhibitors and attendees range from technology developers and manufacturers to design engineers and business-to-business buyers.
For energy meter applications, Vishay products on display at EFY Expo will include the TRANSZORB® transient voltage suppressors (TVS); space-saving eSMP® rectifiers; IR transceivers for short-range meter communication; CAT IV high-isolation optocouplers; wirewound and MELF resistors; meter shunts with very low inductance; IHLP® low-profile, high-current inductors; and film and ceramic capacitors.
Products optimized for alternate energy supplies will include 600 V FRED Pt® hyperfast and ultrafast rectifiers; low forward voltage drop bridge rectifiers; IGBT drivers for DC/AC inverters; solid-state relays and high-speed optocouplers; power and crowbar resistors; high-current, high-temperature inductors; and DC-link and snubber film capacitors.
For automotive applications, Vishay will highlight the SQJ858AEP power MOSFET in the PowerPAK® SO-8 package. With on-resistance down to 0.007 ohms, the device offers half the size and similar performance to devices in the DPAK package. Additional automotive products will include surface-mount PAR® TVS; transmissive and ambient light sensors; Power Metal Strip® resistors in case sizes from 0603 to 5931; and aluminum and molded tantalum capacitors.
