Vishay Intertechnology to Highlight Latest MOSFETs, Passives, Diodes, and Optoelectronics at ELECRAMA-2014

MALVERN, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced its technology line-up for ELECRAMA-2014, taking place Jan. 8-12 at the Bangalore International Exhibition Center in India. In hall 3B, booth H3J12, the company will be highlighting its latest industry-leading power MOSFET, passive component, diode, and optoelectronics technologies for solar, smart grid, wind turbine, and railroad applications.

Vishay Siliconix power MOSFET technologies on display at ELECRAMA-2014 will include TrenchFET® Gen IV devices with ultra-low maximum on-resistance for DC/DC converters; high-performance, medium-voltage ThunderFET® power MOSFETs; 600 V and 650 V E Series devices for increased efficiency; and the AEC-Q101-qualified SQ Rugged Series.

Highlighted Vishay Semiconductors diodes will include Gen2 650 V FRED Pt® Ultrafast devices with a wide range of rated currents from 2 A to 150 A and typical reverse recovery times down to 28 ns; PAR® and TRANSZORB® transient voltage suppressors with high-surge capability; and packaging solutions for power modules featuring solderless pressfit technology. In addition, Vishay Semiconductors will be showcasing optocouplers with 3750 VRMS and 5000 VRMS isolation voltage ratings.

Passive components from Vishay will consist of a wide variety of the company's latest capacitors and resistors. Featured capacitors will include Vishay BCcomponents screw-terminal and snap-in power aluminum capacitors with ultra-long life to 15,000 hours and high-rated voltages to 500 V; Vishay ESTA cylindrical and rectangular capacitors for power electronics, low-voltage power factor correction devices, and LVAC power capacitors; and Vishay Roederstein DC-Link and snubber film capacitors with broad capacitance ranges from 1 µF to 500 µF and long operational life.

Highlights from Vishay's line of resistors will include Vishay Draloric vitreous-enameled power wirewound devices and stainless steel braking/crowbar resistors with pulse energy capability up to 3.46 MJ and pulse current capability up to 12 kA; and Vishay Sfernice thick film resistors with high power to 1100 W and aluminum-housed wirewound resistors with a molded construction for harsh environments.
