MALVERN, Pa. - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE:VSH) today announced that it received two 2011 Silver-level "Perfect Order" awards from Arrow Electronics, Inc. One Silver-level award is in the passive electromechanical component category and one is in the semiconductor category. The awards are based on Vishay's performance in consistently delivering "perfect" orders to customers, including delivering the correct products, free from damage, at the expected delivery dates and at the correct locations. Arrow measures its own order-fulfillment activities using the same perfect-order measurement system.
Vishay received the award in the passive electromechanical component category at the Electronic Distribution Show & Conference (EDS) in Las Vegas on May 8. The award was presented by Don Akery, Vice President, PEMCO SSG, Arrow. It was received on behalf of Vishay by David Valletta, Executive Vice President, Worldwide Sales; Greg Mefford, Senior Vice President, Worldwide Distribution Sales; and John Blackerby, Distributor Strategic Account Manager. The award in the semiconductor category will be presented at Arrow's Voice of the Supplier conference on June 12.
Speaking in April, when the awards were first announced, Don Elario, Arrow's Director of Quality for the Americas and Global Leader of Arrow's Quality Network, said, "Arrow strives to provide the highest level of service to our customers.
