Vishay Intertechnology Honored by SPDEI, the French Association of Distributors of Electronic Components, in 'Standard Semiconductors' and 'Passive Components' Categories
MALVERN, Pa. - Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that the company has been recognized by the SPDEI, the French association of distributors of electronic components, as a top supplier of 2012. During the 17th Annual SPDEI Awards ceremony, held Dec. 4 in Paris, Vishay was named a winner in the "Standard Semiconductors" and "Passive Components" categories. The ceremony took place at the Automobile Club de France, Place de la Concorde.
This year's SPDEI Awards recognize the best semiconductor and passive component manufacturers of 2012 in nine product categories. Members of Syndicat Professionnel de la Distribution en Electronique Industrielle (SPDEI) evaluated suppliers based on these criteria: partnership with the distributor; innovation, price, quality, and durability of products; product range; profitability for the retailer; resources to support the distributor; and protection and traceability of designs.
François Naceur, Vishay's Senior Director of Sales for South Europe, and Mehdi Kheddar, Vishay's Manager of Sales Distribution for France, received the awards on behalf of Vishay at the ceremony.

Other winners in the "Standard Semiconductors" category were Maxim and STMicroelectronics. Other winners in the "Passive Components" category were AVX, Etal, Itelcond, and TDK.
