Vishay Intertechnology Honored With 2013 TTI Global Operations Excellence Award
Vishay Also Wins Supplier Excellence Awards in North America, Europe, and Asia and Diamond Award in Asia
MALVERN, Pa. — Vishay Intertechnology, Inc. (NYSE: VSH) today announced that the company has received the TTI Global Operations Excellence Award. This award represents the highest recognition possible for a supplier's global performance with TTI, Inc. In addition to winning the TTI Global Operations Excellence Award, Vishay won TTI Supplier Excellence Awards for North America, Europe, and Asia, as well as the TTI Diamond Award in Asia. By receiving the 2013 TTI Supplier Excellence Award for North America, Vishay has remained a Platinum Level recipient and has earned recognition for the past eight years for North America. This is the third year in a row that Vishay has won the TTI Supplier Excellence Award for Europe, earning Silver Level recognition. In addition, Vishay has won the TTI Diamond Award three years in a row for Asia.
The TTI Global Operations Excellence Award and Supplier Excellence Awards program center on quality measurements that include on-time delivery, receiving quality, customer quality, administrative quality, sales support, and business systems. Winners are determined by performance points for these criteria. Vishay qualified for the TTI Global Operations Excellence Award by receiving the highest total number of points for North America, Europe, and Asia combined.
The TTI Global Operations Excellence Award was presented to Vishay on May 6 during the 2014 Electronic Distribution Show and Conference (EDS) in Las Vegas. TTI's Melanie Pizzey, vice president, Global Business Operations; Michael Knight, senior vice president, Americas; and Mike Morton, president, Americas, presented the award to Vishay's David Valletta, executive vice president, Worldwide Sales; Joel Smejkal, senior vice president, Sales Distribution; and Steve Nye, distribution strategic account manager, TTI and Mouser.
