Vicon's SurveyorVFT Camera Integrates with Verint Nextiva Video Management Software
Hauppauge and Melville, N.Y., July 15, 2008 - Vicon Industries Inc., a leading designer and producer of video surveillance systems, and Verint Systems Inc. today announced that Vicon® has integrated its SurveyorVFT camera with Verint's Nextiva® IP video platform, launching a new IP camera called the Nextiva S2800e. The Nextiva S2800e combines industry-leading Verint encoding technology with the feature-rich Vicon SurveyorVFT camera dome to deliver a high-performance IP PTZ camera with superior imagery, lower network bandwidth utilization, and full integration with the Nextiva video management portfolio.

By integrating Vicon's SurveyorVFT dome camera with Verint encoding technology, users can view images at high resolution while storing them at lower resolution, helping enhance image clarity and lower use of valuable bandwidth and storage resources.
