Acquisition gives ViaWest a seventh data center in a growing Utah market
DENVER, Dec. 6, 2010 - ViaWest, a leading provider of adaptable colocation and managed services, has announced the company's acquisition of SingleEdge, a colocation and managed service provider based in Salt Lake City. With the acquisition, ViaWest will increase its footprint to seven data centers encompassing approximately 120,000 square feet of usable raised floor in the greater Salt Lake City area.
"SingleEdge has demonstrated strong growth and a high level of customer satisfaction," said Roy J. Dimoff, ViaWest's Chairman & CEO. "Following the completion of our acquisition of Consonus, we felt that acquiring SingleEdge would solidify our emphasis in this region and best position ViaWest to meet the growing demand of the Utah market."

SingleEdge's assets include 14 employees and a 14,700 square foot data center facility. Bob Newman, ViaWest's Senior Vice President & Utah General Manager will be working closely with Chris Call in overseeing the integration of SingleEdge.
