Vertical Communications' ViewPoint Mobile Receives 2013 Unified Communications TMC Innovation Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY Magazine
Mobility Solution Lauded for Extending Full Premise-based Unified Communications Features and Services to iOS and Android Smartphones and Tablets
Santa Clara, Calif. – Vertical Communications, a leading provider of business communications solutions, announced that its ViewPoint Mobile application has been named recipient of the 2013 Unified Communications TMC Innovation Award from INTERNET TELEPHONY magazine. Technology Marketing Corporation (TMC), publishers of INTERNET TELEPHONY, made the announcement following a thorough review of a variety of unified communications solutions in the marketplace. The award honors products that have demonstrated innovation, unique features and noteworthy developments toward improving communications technology. It is granted not to the best-selling products, but instead to those representing a significant contribution to the industry.
Introduced in April, 2012, ViewPoint Mobile extends the full feature set of Vertical's Wave IP Unified Communications platform to iOS and Android devices. Through this application, users can access all office-based communications tools from the field, including voice mail, messaging, conferencing and collaboration tools, call recording, presence management, and other services. ViewPoint Mobile is available to Vertical Wave customers at no charge as part of Vertical’s unique singular licensing program.
In addition to its powerful feature set, ViewPoint Mobile provides superior administrative capabilities for businesses in a rapidly evolving BYOD (Bring Your Own Device) environment. Through ViewPoint Mobile, all corporate resources—including contact information, call recordings and messages—are stored on the Vertical Wave IP server, protecting vital data in case devices are lost or stolen, or if employees leave the organization.
