Ventyx Introduces New User-Centered Customer Experience across Entire Product Portfolio

Ventyx Demonstrates UX for Energy & Mining at Ventyx World Americas; Customer Input Helped Design Software That Works the Way Industry Professionals Do

ORLANDO, Fla. - VENTYX WORLD - Ventyx, an ABB company, is demonstrating its new user-centered customer experience interface (UX) for key elements of its energy and mining software portfolio at Ventyx World Americas. Attendees will see hands-on demos of the new UX for Ventyx Asset Performance Management, Business Analytics, Asset Suite, Workforce Management and Advanced Distribution Management System. Detailed onsite interviews with hundreds of customers enabled Ventyx to design a UX for our portfolio of industry-leading Ventyx energy and mining software that reflects and enhances the way industry professionals - from business managers to field workers - actually use the products every day.

"Instead of forcing customers to adapt their work-styles to our software, we shaped the Ventyx UX software interface around the way they work," said Jeff Ray, CEO of Ventyx. "Customers across the globe rely on our software to provide electricity to hundreds of millions of consumers and to mine the materials necessary to build safe bridges, power furnaces and make mobile and other electronic devices. Our customers worked together with us to make this trusted software as intuitive as possible. This gives customers the freedom to focus on their actual task and not waste their valuable time to learn how to use a tool."

Benefits to Ventyx Customers:

--  Provides situational awareness and actionable insights: The convergence

of sensor-rich operational technology (OT) with information technology

(IT) creates a deluge of potentially valuable data. Presenting

information in a graphical, fast-to-grasp manner, Ventyx's new UX helps

workers - from the field to the control center to the executive suite -

understand the situation quickly, access actionable data insights to

solve problems and make faster, better operational decisions.

--  Meets the demands of a new generation: Essential, asset-intensive

industries are undergoing a generational change. Ventyx's new UX gives

young professionals the same experience from their work software as they

get from the digital products they've grown up with.

--  Speeds onboarding: Making new employees productive more quickly is

imperative in asset-intensive industries. Ventyx's new UX reduces the

learning curve, getting new professionals up and running as quickly as

        possible.

Chicago-based electric utility ComEd, which serves 3.8 million Midwest customers, has been piloting Ventyx's new UX in Network Control. Cheryl Maletich, Vice President of Distribution System Operations, at ComEd reports: "Based on initial estimates, Ventyx's Network Control has the potential to improve dispatcher efficiency and productivity. We expect this will allow us to dispatch to even more crews during storms and improve our response to outages."
