Westbrook, Maine - BiODE, Inc. and Vectron International have entered into a major partnership agreement wherein both companies will share and coordinate acoustic wave viscosity sensor design and technology expertise and will engage in the global manufacturing and delivery of the current BiODE ViSmart(TM) suite of viscosity sensors for target markets. BiODE is marketing these sensor products.
As part of the partnership, both BiODE and Vectron will share sales channels and marketing activities, while focusing on bringing to market next generation viscosity sensors that are plug-n-play and embed additional functionality. Also, Rick Hajec, President of Vectron, will join the BiODE Board of Directors.

The agreement will enable BiODE and Vectron to offer OEM-specific ViSmart(TM) solid-state viscometers which are designed to provide instantaneous, continuous, real-time, in-process relative viscosity measurements in a reliable cost-effective package weighing just 4 oz.
The ViSmart(TM), designed for challenging embedded applications, at a size of 1.3 in x 1.1 in x 0.4 in, and sealed for complete immersion is unaffected by vibration or flow conditions and does not need field calibration. The ViSmart(TM) integrates to the eCup(TM) handheld reader or the ViscNet(TM) control hub to provide a continuous audit trail for process monitoring markets.
