Valmont Coatings Division Honored With Five Excellence in Galvanizing Awards


Omaha, NE - Valmont Industries, Inc. (NYSE: VMI), a leading global manufacturer of engineered products for infrastructure, mechanized irrigation equipment for agriculture, and a provider of coating services, announced today that Valmont's Coatings Division was honored with five Awards for Excellence in Hot Dip Galvanizing. The awards competition, sponsored by the American Galvanizing Association, was based on utilization of hot dip galvanizing in an ideal, creative, innovative or monumental fashion.

Valmont Coatings' Calwest Galvanizing facility located in Long Beach, California was recognized in the Artistic Category for its "Light Chamber Sculpture" at the Denver, Colorado Judicial Center.

Salina Galvanizing, Valmont's galvanizing facility in Salina, Kansas, was recognized in the OEM category for its project, "Mobile Training Tower for First Responders," located in Hawkinsville, Georgia.

The "Orange Bubble Express Ski Lift" project in Park City, Utah was recognized in the Recreation and Entertainment category, and was submitted by Valmont Coatings' Intermountain Galvanizing facility in Lindon, Utah.

And, the Valmont Coatings' galvanizing facility located in Tampa, Florida was recognized with two awards in the Duplex System category. The winning projects are "Center for Great Apes" located in Wauchula, Florida and "Salvador Dali Museum" in St. Petersburg, Florida.
