Press release date: October 10, 2006

electronica 2006 in Munich:

Hanau, 10th October 2006

Hanau / Frankfurt - Hanau-based company VACUUMSCHMELZE presents its full portfolio of special magnetic materials and enhanced products. At this year's electronica (14 to 17 November), the company will focus on themes including alternative energies, presenting new permanent magnets for applications in wind energy generation and inductive components for solar inverters at its stand 119 in Hall B5. In addition to further new products from the Cores and Inductive Components corporate units, Dr. Robert Brand, member of the Product Marketing team in the Materials and Parts Division, will give a speech introducing the new DURACON product family.

These products are spring alloys with electrical conductivity and outstanding bending properties. Other noteworthy features are the excellent fatigue strength and an alloy composition which is free from environmentally critical components such as beryllium. DURACON is particularly suitable for contact interfaces in low-voltage telecom and automotive applications involving complex requirements of miniaturization and/or temperature behaviour. Dr. Brand will give his speech on Tuesday, 14 November at 11.30 am at the ZVEI Podium in Hall C3, Stand 336.
