SMITHFIELD, R.I. - June 22, 2006 - Uvex®, world leader in safety eyewear, today announced the launch of its new Fog Eliminator Cloths, as well as enhancements to the Uvex Bionic® Faceshield and Flex Seal® Goggle product lines. These are just the latest advancements in safety products from Uvex, the leading U.S. manufacturer of premium protective eyewear.
New Uvex Fog Eliminator Cloths help workers who wear safety eyewear, goggles or faceshields see more clearly and stay safer on the job. Uvex Fog Eliminator Cloths are formulated to effectively protect lenses of all types from fogging caused by cold, high humidity or sudden temperature changes. Seeing clearly means staying safe, as workers are protected from the potentially dangerous loss of vision that occurs when lenses fog up. New Uvex Bionic Hard Hat Combination is ideal for workers who are required to wear hard hats on the job and need protection against chemical splash and airborne debris, as well as impact injury. The Uvex Bionic Hard Hat Combination includes the Bionic Faceshield shell a clear polycarbonate visor that comes either uncoated or with an anti-fog hardcoat and the Bionic Hard Had adapter. Both the Bionic Faceshield and Hard Hat Adapter are 100 percent dielectric with no metal components, and the faceshield and hard hat adapter meet ANSI and CSA standards and are compatible with many manufacturers' hard hats.
The Uvex Flex Seal Goggle has always offered superior protection, all-day comfort and a contour fit, and now it offers something more: choice. The soft, cured silicone body of the Flex Seal Goggle conforms to almost any worker's profile to provide a secure fit, and now workers can choose from either a blue or gray silicone body. The main benefit of silicone construction is its ability to stay soft and supple and therefore comfortable in extreme temperatures. The Flex Seal Goggle fits over many prescription frames and its contemporary wrap-around lens increases visibility and protection.
