Press release date: February 8, 2008

AMBLER, Pa. February 8, 2008 - MEN Micro Inc., a world-renowned provider of embedded computing and I/O solutions for demanding industrial, mobile and harsh environment applications, has just released its 2008 product overview catalog outlining the company's wide range of intercompatible 3U CompactPCI and CompactPCI Express single-board computers (SBCs) and systems based on Intel® and PowerPC® architectures.

New to the catalog is MEN Micro's latest and highest performing member of the Intel-based product family, the single-slot F18, based on Intel®'s T7500 CoreT2 Duo processor with a frequency of 2.2 GHz, that functions as either a 32-bit/33 MHz system slot or stand-alone board.

Easy reference charts begin each section to highlight and compare components within a product family, allowing for quick identification of the most useful board for a specific application. The catalog also includes a detailed data sheet for each product complete with physical, mechanical and electrical specifications as well as a schematic diagram identifying the component layout of each board.

An overview of the Intel-based boards, which offer expanded I/O functions using different side cards and a smooth transition to the next higher processor generation for use in existing or upgraded systems, is provided. Long-term availability of at least five years from product start and RoHS conformity are also included in this section.

The catalog details MEN Micro's PowerPC-based boards, ideal for harsh and mobile environments as well as the F206N Nios-based slave SBC equipped with a Cyclone FPGA and an integrated Altera Nios II microcontroller softcore, offering exceptional flexibility for various applications.

The catalog also outlines boards specific for industrial communication, including the F209L that supports the WLAN IEEE 802.11b standard for WEP encryption with data transmission and output power of 20 dBm and the F210 that offers a combination of GPS, GSM and UARTs.

MEN Micro's carrier boards, available with mezzanine slots based on M-ModuleT, PMC, XMC or PC-MIP®/ANSI/IEC standards, as well as enclosures and complete systems round out the products outlined in the catalog.
