Updated Brochure Details Entrance Solutions for the Special Needs of the Demanding Education Environment

The recently updated brochure from Special-Lite, Inc., "Complete Entrance Systems for Education Facilities," describes the company's door, panel, and framing products designed specifically to address the educational market's need to reduce maintenance costs and address "green" or "high performance"
school initiatives.

The literature describes many advantages Special-Lite entrance products can offer green buildings. They are the first and only entrance products GREENGUARD Indoor Air Quality Certified®, including the stringent new
GREENGUARD Standard for Children and Schools(TM). GREENGUARD Certification
is third party assurance that Special-Lite products meet the country's toughest indoor air quality criteria. Their products leave the factory pre-finished so they don't need to be painted at installation, eliminating associated health risks. And with durable stain-resistant finishes, even tough stains like graffiti can be removed using environmentally-responsible, non-toxic cleaners.

The brochure highlights Special-Lite's FRP (Fiberglass Reinforced Polyester) Flush Door (model SL-17). A popular choice with schools, it will handle the most extreme use while retaining a like-new appearance with only minimal maintenance. Unlike wood or metal doors, the SL-17 does not rust, corrode, crack, split, peel, or rot. The FRP surfaces never need painting. When compared to hollow metal doors, Special-Lite FRP Doors provide superior thermal performance, longer service life for the entire entrance, and lower
lifecycle cost.

The brochure outlines the monumental and flush door design options Special-Lite offers for educational environments. Any architectural style can be matched. Unique configurations and sizes are available. Special-Lite Doors can be customized with a wide variety of hardware and lites. Surface finish choices include anodized aluminum, stainless steel, Kynar® paint, FRP colors, and natural wood stains for their acrylic-modified polyester
(AMP) colonial and wood grain style flush doors. In addition, any paint color can be matched.

To complement their doors, Special-Lite offers architectural panels, heavy-duty tube frames with applied stops, heavy-duty flush glazed tube frames, and storefront framing, as well as capping or insert framing to rehabilitate worn-out frames. All of the company's frame and panel products are custom-produced in a wide range of shapes, dimensions, and finishes.
