Laser Safety Officer Training courses will be held in St. Louis, MO on August 4-6, 2009, and in Milton, ON, Canada on August 17-19, 2009. Courses will provide nonmathematical approach to teach duties of Laser Safety Officer as described in ANSI Z136.1 Safe Use of Lasers standard. Targeting professionals not required to perform hazard analysis calculations, they will offer education on laser fundamentals and terminology, bioeffects, control measures, and safety program administration.

St. Louis, MO - August 4-6, 2009
A non-mathematical approach designed to teach the duties of Laser Safety Officer as described in the ANSI Z136.1 Safe Use of Lasers standard. Information on lasers and optics, bioeffects, beam and non-beam hazards, control measures and training requirements are covered. Emphasis is placed on laser safety program development and administration. This course meets all LSO training requirements outlined by ANSI, OSHA and ACGIH, Worth 3.0 ABIH CM Points, 16 CECs by AAHP and 3.0 BLS CM Points by the Board of Laser Safety.
Who Should Attend
All personnel involved with industrial, military, educational or research applications of lasers. This course is tailored to fit the needs of safety professionals, engineers, laser operators, technicians and other professionals assigned the duties of Laser Safety Officer who are not required to perform hazard analysis calculations.
