Upcoming IPC Executive Webcasts Offer Best Practices for Pricing and Planning in a Challenging Economy

BANNOCKBURN, Ill, USA, April 20, 2009 - IPC - Association Connecting Electronics Industries® announces the May installments of the IPC Executive Webcast Series. Designed to help managers prevail over today's unique business challenges, the hour-long segments, Pricing in an Uncertain Economy: Theory and Practice and The State of the Economy and Future Outlook, will take place on May 12 and 19 respectively, both at 1:00 pm Central time.

Companies struggling with the pros and cons of various pricing options in a tough economy - setting prices too high and losing customers, or pricing too low and failing to recover product costs and/or possibly lowering customer perception of the product value - will gain insight from Mary Abbazia and Tom Spitale of Impact Planning Group on May 12. Abbazia and Spitale will shed light on how companies can avoid the pitfalls of pricing decisions as they share methods to quickly analyze options and retain both fair product value and satisfied customers.

On May 19, Bob Shrouds, top economic forecaster and chief economist for DuPont, will examine the current business environment, discuss the potential depth and length of the recession and explore the forces that will shape the recovery. Shrouds will discuss global gross domestic product (GDP) and worldwide industrial production, focusing on the factors that will drive future demand in the electronics industry.
