DALE, IN - Universal Package Systems, already a leader in the production of custom dimension, cut and welded plastic containers, has increased production capacity with the addition of a new large format, hot plate welder designed specifically for the company.
To manufacture custom dimension containers, Universal cuts standard size plastic bulk boxes or plastic totes, then uses its hot plate welders to weld the components together to form a custom plastic containers of virtually any size or configuration.
The new welder features a large 66" x 34" platen and state-of-the-art computer controls that maintain tight control over temperature and pressure. This unique combination allows Universal to securely weld any of the wide variety of plastics currently used in material handling container applications. It is also believed to be the largest hot plate welder in use in the material handling industry, making Universal the go-to source for large size custom container needs.
