Universal Improves Spare Parts Website, Hires General Manager of Production Tooling

In its ongoing effort to provide customers with exceptional service, Universal Instruments Corporation recently launched an enhanced spare parts website at www.uic-tooling.com. The development of the site is just one of the projects spearheaded by Justin Poet, general manager of the organization's newly created Production Tooling Group.
Designed to improve the customer's experience, www.uic-tooling.com makes it faster and easier to locate parts for Universal's surface mount and through-hole products. All parts are cataloged within the system, so users can quickly access parts using a specific part number or can browse among thousands of available items. The site also gives customers access to a wide array of standard production tooling, with custom tooling available through an online request form. In addition, at www.uic-tooling.com, users will find information on special offers, featured products, and online discounts. Also available are case studies that highlight how Universal's applications specialists are creating innovative solutions to customer and industry issues.
Every detail of the new website was intentionally laid out with the customer's experience in mind, explained Poet. We wanted to create an online resource that our customers can rely on, whether they are looking for a critical part or to take advantage of our special offers. The new website is a major step toward providing our industry-leading customer service online.
The development of the site is one of several projects that Poet has been tasked with as leader of Universal's new Production Tooling Group. Composed of Poet and application specialists in North America and Asia, this group focuses on providing customers with high-quality and competitively priced production tooling to support their Universal equipment.
According to Poet, Universal identified a great opportunity to put additional focus on our production tooling business and ensure we are providing world-class products and service to our international and domestic customers. He added, The new group will focus on delivering a superior product line that our customers want and need, as well as a custom tooling business that provides timely and effective solutions for customer-specific challenges.
Poet holds a master's of business administration degree from Binghamton University and a bachelor's degree in aeronautical science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University. Before joining Universal, he worked in aviation, foodservice distribution, and web-based business administration.
