Ultra Electronics, Nuclear Sensors & Process Instrumentation (Weed Instrument) has been awarded a major contract by China Nuclear Power Engineering Co. (CNPEC) and China National Technical Import & Export Corp. for the CPR 1000 project.

The scope of supply encompasses temperature sensors and switches for the next 10 reactors to be constructed at the Liaoning Hongyanhe, Fujian Ningde and Guangdong Yangjiang nuclear power stations.

Delivery of the equipment spans from April 2010 through March 2013.
