Valencia, California, January 17, 2006 -On December 27, 2005 UVDI was awarded a design patent associated with the Altru-V brand V-Flex Model product design. The US patent 6,979,103 is titled "UltraViolet Lamp Standards and Methods of Use Thereof". Issuance of this patent continues to display UVDI's commitment to provide innovative design solutions to the HVAC industry.
The V-Flex Series provides unparalleled flexibility and UV intensity for HVAC applications which require control and treatment for viruses and bacteria in air streams at flow rates ranging from 2,000 to in excess of 100,000 cfm. A patent (US Patent 6,670,626 was issued to UVDI on December 30, 2003 for the V-Mod Model. The V-Mod model incorporates an interlocking, modular feature to irradiate an air stream and/or coil surfaces within commercial HVAC system.
