UTStarcom to Demo Proven IP-Based Solutions for Telecom Operators at 16th Convergence India

NEW DELHI, India, March 17 - UTStarcom, Inc. (NASDAQ:UTSI), a global leader in IP-based, end-to-end networking solutions and services, will offer on-site demonstrations of the company's proven IPTV, broadband, NGN and optical solutions at the 16th Convergence India, March 19-21, 2008, in Pragati Maidan, New Delhi, India. UTStarcom invites attendees to visit the company's booth #121 in Hall 11 to learn about its comprehensive portfolio of next-generation, all IP-based solutions and view a live demonstration of its RollingStream(TM) end-to-end IPTV system, including value-added applications such as HD content, nPVR and VOD.

UTStarcom will also be presenting its proven and most successful global solutions currently available to customers in India and South Asia and have company executives available to discuss related deployment opportunities, including:

o IPTV services, including applications such as education, video conferencing, telemedicine, law & order, gaming and other forms of commerce in addition to traditional television video services o Multi Service Access Network (MSAN), which combines various. functionalities such as IP DSLAM, DLC, TDM migration, FTTx, etc. onto a single platform. o mSwitch, the next generation switching platform that currently transports more than 200 billion IP Telephony minutes on an annual basis over wireless and broadband networks.
