A line of peel-and-stick UHMW wear strips that can be affixed to chutes, conveyors, and other surfaces without drilling and mechanical fasteners is being introduced by SLIDEWAYS, Inc. of Worcester, Massachusetts.
SLIDEWAYS UHMW Adhesive Backed Wear Strips feature a high shear strength adhesive that fully adheres to virtually any substrate material to provide a low friction and high wear resistant surface. Suitable for a variety of applications requiring superior abrasion resistance, these adhesive backed wear strips eliminate the need for drilling and mechanical fasteners which can trap contaminants and interfere with the product flow.
Eliminating the problems associated with thermal expansion, SLIDEWAYS UHMW Adhesive Backed Wear Strips expand and contract at the same rate as the base substrate. Available in from .25" to 24" W and 50', 54', and 100'L rolls in thicknesses from .003" to .125", these low-profile strips can be supplied in various UHMW formulations. The adhesive provides 288 lbs/inch of width shear strength and 175 lbs/sq-in tensile strength.
