UFP Technologies, Inc. (NASDAQ: UFPT) was awarded ISO 13485:2003 certification for its Georgetown, Massachusetts, manufacturing facility. Along with the Company's location in Rancho Dominguez, California, UFP Technologies now has two facilities that are ISO 13485:2003 certified. This certification is part of UFP Technologies' plans to continue investment in making itself a valued manufacturing partner for its medical clients.
UFP Technologies engineers and manufactures specialty packaging, device components and turn-key product solutions for a variety of segments in the medical industry including: clean room packaging for orthopedic implants, fluid management components for applicators and would care products.
A key component of UFP Technologies' growth strategy is investing in its medical operations and client base. Receiving ISO 13485:2003 certification adds to the Company's medical manufacturing infrastructure which includes clean room and clean environment manufacturing in six of its twelve locations throughout North America.

The certification specifies that UFP Technologies, Inc. operates a Quality Management System which complies with the requirements of ISO 13485:2003 for the design, manufacturing and supply of a wide range of foam and rigid plastic packaging and specialty products.
