Maryland's Capital City Invests in Munis® with Contract worth $1.15 Million

DALLAS - October 26, 2010 - Tyler Technologies, Inc. (NYSE: TYL) has signed an agreement with the City of Annapolis, Maryland, to provide its Munis® enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution. Annapolis has invested in an extensive range of Tyler's Munis financial, human capital management, document management and citizen service applications. In addition to software licenses, the agreement includes related professional services, maintenance and support.

"Through the application of-and investment in-technology, our workforce can reach new heights of productivity and thereby meet the citizens' expectations for delivering quality service on a 24-7 basis at lower costs," said Paul Thorn, Annapolis' manager of the Management Information Technology department. "Tyler's Munis solution will greatly increase financial management reporting capabilities, provide streamlined, paperless workflow with electronic executive signoffs and electronic presentation of invoices. With Munis, we'll also be able to provide new external Web portals for procurement and job applications and internal Web portals for employee payroll inquiry and transactions."

The City of Annapolis, with a population of approximately 36,500, needed to replace its 19-year-old ERP system and originally decided to solely focus on replacing its utility billing and human resource systems. However, after evaluation of Tyler's products and services, the city decided to look at more offerings. After completion of the financial package evaluation, it was determined to be in the best interest of the city to implement Tyler's Munis, which is a fully integrated ERP system.

"Tyler's change management and policy and procedure review services should make this implementation a great deal easier," said Thorn. "We believe that the City of Annapolis can take advantage of these opportunities to be more effective, efficient and transparent and strive to be the best run city in Maryland."

"Tyler's exclusive focus on serving the public sector, a proven track record of on-time and on-budget implementations, and our reputation as a strong business partner place us in a unique position to provide the City of Annapolis with an outstanding customer experience," said Richard E. Peterson, Jr., president of Tyler's ERP & School Division. "Our integrated Munis applications and professional services provide the necessary tools to achieve the city's business goals. We look forward to working with the City of Annapolis for years to come."
