DigiTrace NGC-UIT-OUT gains CSA Approval for use in U.S. and Canada

REDWOOD CITY, CA. (September 27, 2007) - Tyco Thermal Controls, the world leader in heat tracing solutions, today announced that its touch screen User Interface Terminal (UIT) for the DigiTrace NGC family of control & monitoring systems has received CSA approval for use in Class I, Division 2 hazardous locations. This CSA approval is recognized in both the US and Canada for the following areas: Class 1, Div. 2 Groups A, B, C, D Class 1, Zone 2 Groups IIC

Thermal Limit Rating - T4 The hazardous location User Interface Terminal (NGC-UIT-OUT) is rated NEMA 4X and designed to withstand extremes of moist, hot and cold environments. With an operating temperature rating from -40°C to +65°C (-40°F to 149°F) the hazardous location UIT provides information and accessibility to the DigiTrace NGC-30 control and monitoring system over a wide range of conditions. "The touch screen user interface terminals used in the DigiTrace NGC-30 systems today provide a much more intuitive, easy to use interface to Tyco Thermal Controls' control and monitoring systems", says Matt Chamberlain, Tyco Thermal Controls' Industrial Products Marketing Director.
