Expanding Media Network Products to the Contractor and the DIY installer
HARRISBURG, Pa. - April 14, 2010 - Tyco Electronics has expanded its presence into the retail hardware market with the roll-out of Media Jack inserts and wall plates at local True Value stores. The products included in the True Value Networking Products program provide contractors and DIY installers a full range of interfaces for wall-mount televisions, home computer networks, surround-sound theater systems, whole-house audio, remote printers and many more. Additional networking products to expand connectivity can be special ordered from True Value.
The range of in-the-wall media include:
o RJ-45 jacks for Category 5 and 6 twisted-pair cable o RJ-11 telephone jacks o F-series and BNC pass-thru coaxial jacks o RCA pass-through jacks in red, white, green, blue, yellow, orange o RCA over twisted-pairs in red, white, yellow o S-video over twisted-pairs o HDMI pass-through o SVGA over twisted-pairs o USB pass-through (A to A and B to A) o Speaker posts o Digital audio pass-through.
Also available are 2-, 3-, 4- and 6-port wall plates, decorator straps, and blank inserts. These products increase the retail presence of Tyco Electronics in the consumer market while complementing True Value's entry into the contractor and DIY networking and datacom market.
