CEPM status is earned after successfully completing the program's series of courses, passing a final certification exam and satisfying work experience time requirements.

"When an EMS program manager is properly trained and certified, the benefits to the individual, their company and the industry as a whole are numerous. When they better understand the industry, they can identify key issues important to their OEM customers, apply successful problem-solving techniques to specific EMS situations, work toward meeting their organization's goals and reaffirm their commitment to quality customer service," said Susan Filz, IPC director of industry programs.

For EMS program managers wanting to undergo training and ultimately earn certification, IPC is hosting a training course, "Introduction to EMS Training and Program Management," January 15-16, 2010 in San Diego. To register, visit www.ipc.org/EMS-Certification-Registration.
