Jad Darsey has been named director of sustainability and plastics plastics for TricorBraun, one of North America's largest suppliers of bottles, jars and other rigid packaging.
In the newly created post, Mr. Darsey will evaluate new packaging technology and assist TricorBraun's customers with material choices and package designs that will enable them to improve their sustainability programs.
"Mr. Darsey's background in developing markets and packaging chemistry made him the premier choice for this post, said Brett Binkowski, senior vice president global supply chain.
"His appointment gives TricorBraun the ability to help our manufacturers and brand-owners take leadership roles in advancing sustainability," George Dempsey, chief operating officer said.
Mr. Darsey joined TricorBraun in 2008 and was responsible for developing strategic and emerging markets.
He is a 1999 graduate of North Carolina State University, Raleigh, where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Textile Chemistry.
