Integrated Affinity BIM Programming Tool and Archicad Software Streamline Planning and Design Processes
HOUSTON and NEWTON, Mass., May 16 / Trelligence and Graphisoft® today announced the availability of Affinity for Archicad®, a software solution that applies Building Information Modeling (BIM) methodologies to the pre-design stages of building projects. Affinity for Archicad extends the capabilities of the Graphisoft Archicad Virtual Building(TM) solution to include the processes of programming and design conceptualization.

Affinity is available as a stand-alone Windows-based tool and as an integrated plug-in to Archicad. o Ability to create in-depth, knowledge-based building templates, as well as access to stored project information and schematics;
o Adaptable questionnaires that mirror programming processes currently employed by the user;
o Hierarchical estimating engines that automatically recalculate design alterations;
o Visualization tools that speed creation of intelligent design elements to track requirements against graphical representations; and,
o 3D views of the external structure as a blocking or stacking diagram.
