Traverse Further Extends Software's Compatibility to Include Popular Handheld Mobile Devices

FREMONT, Calif., March 6 / -- Traverse Networks, (traversenetworks.com), an innovator of mobility solutions for enterprise voice systems, today announced that its CallConnect with Visual Voicemail software is now compatible with the RIM BlackBerry and the Palm, Inc. Treo handheld mobile devices. BlackBerry compatibility includes the 7100g, 7290, 8700c, 7520, 7100i, 7105t, 7100t, 7130e, 7750 from four wireless carriers, Cingular, Sprint/Nextel, T-Mobile and Verizon. Treo compatibility includes models 600 and 650 from three wireless carriers, Cingular, Sprint/Nextel and Verizon.

Traverse Networks' CallConnect with Visual Voicemail software enables BlackBerry and Treo users to further extend the functionality of their mobile handheld devices such that they control corporate voice communications systems as a powerful "remote control" for the user's desk phone. CallConnect enables mobile workers to visually manage calls made to their Cisco IP-PBX based office phone, to view and listen to voicemail displayed in an email-like inbox and to search the corporate directory and remotely initiate calls from the desk phone.

"With the combined market of BlackBerry and Treo users growing to more than six million, we're pleased to expand the native device compatibility of CallConnect to include these users," said Chris Hoover, Traverse Networks' director of product management and marketing. "A key component of our strategy is device ubiquity. We are committed to ensuring CallConnect is available on every mobile device and on every mobile operating system."

Availability Traverse Networks CallConnect is available through select authorized resellers including Cisco Certified Gold Partners and Premier Resellers Nexus IS, INX and Permian MicroMart.
