Timothy Kipp Promoted to Senior Consultant at GZA GeoEnvironmental


PORTLAND, ME AND NORWOOD, MA, ISSUED, May 14, 2011... GZA GeoEnvironmental, Inc., a leading environmental and geotechnical consulting firm, has announced that Timothy Kipp has been promoted to Senior Consultant in their Portland ME office.

Kipp has more than 27 years experience in environmental health and safety (EHS) management, and offers a wide range of EHS management and strategic planning to GZA clients, including environmental management system and compliance system development; safety program management/implementation; EHS metrics and reporting; environmental auditing and due diligence for corporate mergers and acquisitions; oil/hazardous material response planning and preparedness; and extensive EHS training experience including hazardous waste management, USDOT hazardous materials management, SPCC and oil pollution prevention, and a wide range of OSHA safety programs.

Kipp first joined GZA in 1992, and returned in 2008 after four years as the corporate Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) Manager for Sprague Energy, the largest petroleum and bulk-materials handling company in the northeastern US. His work there involved a wide range of safety, environmental, training, security, and emergency response duties including acting as Sprague's Qualified Individual for oil spill response. Kipp earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Geology from Pennsylvania State University and a Master of Science degree in Environmental Engineering from Clarkson University. He holds a professional registration as a Certified Hazardous Materials Manager, Masters Level.
